Introducing Maureen McAuliffe and Lauren Schall, your dedicated coaching duo, who are passionate about helping you achieve your goals and celebrating your successes!

Maureen McAuliffe
Rowing and Lifting Coach
Mo is a certified personal trainer with over 15 years of experience in both rowing and fitness. She has represented the United States twice in the 4x at Senior World Championships and in the 8+ at U23 World Championships. She has won Head of the Charles 3 times with her teammates, twice in the Championship Double and once in the Club 4+.
Mo walked onto her rowing team in college at George Mason University, where she earned a degree in Exercise Science and was named All-Conference in the CAA her junior and senior year. She was captain her senior year and named a 2nd Team All American in 2011. She has rowed for many programs over her career including Thompson’s Boat Center (DC), Vesper (Philly), Riverside (Boston), and the National Team Training Center (Princeton).
Before she began her elite rowing career, Mo spent time at the National Personal Training Institute in Virginia and completed a 500 hour course. She has worked as a personal trainer and rowing coach since 2012 and is very excited to share her knowledge and experience with the adult rowing community!



Lauren Schall
Rowing Coach and Business Manager
Lauren is an experienced rowing coach and NASM Certified Personal Trainer with a rich background in both competitive rowing and coaching. She began rowing at the University of Pittsburgh, where she was captain for two years and received a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. She went on to coach the Pitt Varsity Women to multiple medals at ACRA Nationals, earning the Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year award in her second year coaching. She also coached at Central Catholic High School and led Steel City Rowing Club’s sculling program.
After training with Vesper's U23 program and independently in the single, Lauren joined the ARION Elite program, training under Olympic coach Eric Catalano and alongside Team USA athletes.

Following an injury that ended her competitive career, Lauren gained NCAA Division 1 coaching experience at the University of Massachusetts. She later returned to Saratoga as Head Coach of the varsity girls team, securing medals at national championships in her first year.
In 2023, Lauren transitioned to coaching adults, finding fulfillment in helping them reach their potential. She is excited to continue supporting and inspiring the adult rowing community. Fun fact: Lauren also helps deliver baby horses at a racehorse breeding farm in Saratoga!
